President Trump and President Xi Reach Landmark Agreements Strengthening U.S.–China Relations
President Donald Trump announced a highly productive meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, describing it as a major step forward in strengthening U.S.–China relations.
Both leaders reached several landmark agreements, with China committing to purchase substantial amounts of American agricultural and energy products — a move expected to boost U.S. exports and revitalize rural economies.
In addition, China pledged to maintain the supply of critical minerals essential to U.S. industries and to cooperate closely in curbing the flow of illicit fentanyl. President Trump emphasized that these agreements would drive economic growth, create jobs, and deepen bilateral cooperation.
He also expressed his gratitude to Asia-Pacific nations for their diplomatic support, reaffirming his confidence in a stable, mutually beneficial future between the United States and China.
